Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Scientist to join a multidisciplinary R&D team dedicated to the development of new technologies. You will manage complex parts of technical projects and be accountable for the delivery.
This role will predominantly be based at our Grangemouth site but will require a degree of flexibility to travel to our other R&D facilities in Stirling and Glasgow as required.
You will be responsible for planning, designing and conducting laboratory based experiments as well as building an in depth scientific knowledge of immunoassays. Working closely with other scientists, you will be in charge of the development of new coupling chemistries on various surfaces including microbeads, quantum dots, hydrogels and inks. In-process testing will also have to be designed and developed to characterize the assay reagents prepared.
This job is particularly suitable for a scientist interested in both reagent preparation and assay development sides of in-vitro diagnostics for future LumiraDx products.
If successful you will be considered for a scientist level 1 or level 2 position depending on experience.
