Role & Responsibilities

Opportunity

To create, manage, and execute test documentation (Test Plans, Test Reports, Traceability to requirements) for Manual and Automated tests within the SDLC in adherence with regulatory standards.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
  • To contribute to the design and implementation of automation framework components that enable test implementation across web and mobile channels, enabling frequent releases at a reduced cost to the business while increasing coverage and improving the scalability of the software.
  • Ensure complete test coverage of Requirements
  • Create, Manage, and Enforce Test Documentation (Test Plans, Test Reports, Traceability to requirements) for Manual and Automated tests
  • Provide test evidence for Automated features (Automation maps to Test Cases Database and a Test Run)
  • Analyse, coordinate and solve complex problems; work in a team environment; and handle multiple projects.
  • Build out automated test suites and framework
  • Contribute to Sprint Planning and daily stand-ups to develop User Story’s, Acceptance Criteria and Effort scoring with a Testing focus.
  • Analyse the impact and risk of User Story’s against existing systems and select appropriate testing strategies to validate.
  • Undertake a full range of test activities for example Structural, Functional/Non-Functional, Behavioural, Regression and Exploratory testing across Unit, Integration, System and Performance stages. Investigation of issues, and defect recording.
  • To work within test, design, and development standards to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of core system and processes

Required Experience

Essential skills:

  • BS degree or equivalent in CS or similar major
  • 4+ years’ experience in test automation within agile software development
  • Hands-on experience developing or deploying automation frameworks
  • Strong JavaScript /Java/C#/ Python skills (Cypress automation experience a plus)
  • Experience with Gherkin language
  • REST and SOAP API testing
  • Familiar with a Java IDE - installing plugins
  • Experience of working within a regulated industry

Desirable skills:

  • Some Java/OO skills. Some experience testing with JUNIT, or other (Cucumber preferred)
  • Familiarity with Jenkins
  • Familiar with working from Unix command line
  • Use of SQL databases to run queries

    Highly Desirable skills:

    • Selenium
    • SpecFlow/Cucumber
    • JSON/XML/XPath
    • Web based GUI’s
    • Windows based clients
