The Swiss Society for Microbiology (SSM) is a professional association with more than 600 members working in the field of human and veterinary medical microbiology, fundamental and general microbiology, (food production and safety, environment), biotechnology, virology and mycology.
2022 is a special year for the SSM as the society will celebrate its 80th anniversary. The theme of this special event is 'Celebrating Swiss Microbiology Research'. The different contributions will mainly come from researchers working at Swiss research institutions and from Swiss citizens working at a research institution abroad.
