The German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM) e. V. has the declared goal of promoting scientific exchange in the various sub-areas of medical and molecular microbiology, infection immunology, hygiene and general health care.

The annual conference is established as Germany's largest specialist conference in this field and offers renowned national and international experts the opportunity to present their latest research results.

With more than 1,900 members, the DGHM brings together scientists from Germany and abroad who are active in medical and molecular microbiology and patient-related hygiene and promotes research and teaching in these fields.

From September 18th to 20th, meet internationally renowned speakers and young scientists, as well as representatives of industry, to exchange views on the current and future state of research and science - for the benefit of society!

Discuss the following key topics in the areas of hygiene and microbiology this year:
- Novel antimicrobial strategies: phages, pathoblockers and friends
- AMR evolution, emergence and transmission in the One Health context
- Digitization in infection control measures
- Colonization resistance and microbial networks
- Host pathogen metabolism
As usual, these topics will be reflected in workshops, plenary sessions, poster exhibitions, industry symposiums and many other formats.
