Role & Responsibilities

This role can be remotely based following an initial settling-in period which requires attending the site on a full-time basis. After this initial period, you will be required to visit the office on occasion as business demands. 

Opportunity:

As a User Experience designer, you will provide Digital User Experience support and expertise across the business. You will act as a user advocate and work closely with stakeholders, customers, and users to understand their problems and needs and translate these learnings into design solutions for highly usable and desirable products and features.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • 3-5+ years experience in a UX role
  • A solid grasp of User Centered Design
  • Experienced with the software design processes 
  • Skilled and experienced in a broad spectrum of UX tools, techniques and deliverables
  • Proven experience working with customers and end-users
  • Highly motivated with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in visual design and wireframing tools
  • Understanding of Agile and Lean UX methodologies
  • Strong design mindset
  • Passionate about UX and latest design trends

About You:

To be successful in this role you must be a highly motivated individual that can demonstrate flexibility and a can-do attitude. You should ensure positive, productive and proactive relationships with a range of internal and external key stakeholders

Required Experience

Essential skills:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a related discipline (UX Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or Psychology)
  • Owning and championing user centered design activities such as research, design, prototyping, usability testing, validation and analysis
  • Create elegant and intuitive user experiences by incorporating user insights, business requirements and technical constraints
  • Create and rapidly iterate on ideas using process flows, wireframes, hi-fidelity designs, and prototypes to effectively articulate product designs
  • Simplify and distil complex workflows into intuitive product experiences
  • Produce visual designs that are on-brand and sensitive to accessibility and web standards
  • Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, XD, Photoshop etc.
  • Help develop ideas that improve user experience and user engagement that have a positive impact on our business goals
  • Help design and validate elements of coherent, cross platform user experiences across different devices including desktop, mobile, web and devices
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, product owners and the development team in the design and implementation of new products and features
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to ensure that designs support our brand and are consistent in terms of tone of voice, wording and visuals

 Desirable skills:

  • Experience designing products in the health or medical industry
  • Experience collaborating closely with development and quality assurance teams
  • Experience working with design systems
  • Knowledge of front-end web development, building user interfaces (CSS and HTML5)
