51st Annual Meeting of the Austrian Diabetes Society (ÖDG Jahrestagung)

16/11/2023 - 18/11/2023

The Austrian Diabetes Society (ÖDG) organizes the 51st annual conference under the motto "Where is the journey going?". One focus of the conference is based on the current findings on the pathophysiology and possible therapy options for type 1 diabetes mellitus. Will it be possible in the near future to screen patients with an increased risk of developing type 1 diabetes mellitus and, through a targeted intervention, to prevent or delay manifestation? In a joint session, current data from clinical research as well as from basic research will be examined. The update of the guidelines published in spring 2023 will be presented and discussed.

The keynote lecture "Diabetes Complications: Are Micro- and Macrovascular Sufficient?" is dedicated to the complex pathophysiology of complications and questions the current classifications.

At the same time, the "Meet-The-Experts" format is intended to promote the rapid implementation of scientific developments in everyday clinical practice. Other main topics of the conference are the implementation of lifestyle-modifying therapy and the diabetic foot syndrome.

Address: Salzburg Congress, Auerspergstr. 6, 5020 Salzburg
