A.M.C.L.I. (Associazione Microbiologi Clinici Italiani) is a scientific association for the development of clinical microbiology, as a medical discipline aimed at the study, diagnosis and therapy of human diseases caused directly or indirectly by microorganisms. This discipline includes, in particular, Bacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology, Virology, Serum Immunology and the in vitro study of antimicrobial drugs.
Since 1970 AMCLI has been involved in the field of Clinical Microbiology, promoting scientific research and training, providing support to the clinical diagnosis of infectious diseases, with the promotion of clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic paths, all aimed at achieving the primary objective of clinical governance, which is to promote the development of excellence in healthcare.
