The Styrian Academy for General Medicine (STAFAM) is the specialist society for general and family medicine in Styria. She is a constituent member of the Austrian Society for General and Family Medicine (ÖGAM).
STAFAM is committed to providing the population with family doctor care that is close to where they live and can be reached quickly and tries to actively counteract the shortage of general practitioners.
Annually, STAFAM organizes the "Congress for General Medicine" in Graz. With more than 2,000 participants, this is the largest congress of its kind in Austria. It is dedicated to further training and the exchange of experiences between general practitioners and their employees from a wide variety of health professions.
The 53rd STAFAM Congress will take place under the direction of Dr. Gottfried Thalhammer (congress director) and Dr. Oliver Lammel (deputy director of the congress) under the motto "Of findings and well-being - medicine in motion".
