The content of the Vienna Congress of Cardiology is aimed at doctors in private practice and in hospitals in order to present the current spectrum of cardiology in a condensed form. A practice-oriented approach is essential, which offers both overview lectures and discussions in small groups (e.g. workshops, case reports, practical instructions and meet-the-experts) at a high clinical and scientific level.
A bundling of the advanced training concept should be achieved through a homogeneous appearance of all cardiological departments of the City of Vienna together with the Medical University of Vienna. Furthermore, general medical, internal medicine and cardiological doctors should be able to obtain comprehensive information and further training in a compact form.
The congress, which is organized by the Medical University of Vienna, will focus on the treatment of the main symptoms of cardiology, acute cardiology (in hospital and practice), coronary heart disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia and primary prevention through treatment of comorbidities.
